I found this florentine table piece by artists Poccetti and Lingozzi in one of my italian books and saw an interesting connection to artist Fred Tomaselli. (Btw. the Poccetti/Lingozzi table took 16 years to make!)

(side note: upon looking around online I saw this weird puzzle website containting the florentine tabe?! http://home.comcast.net/~mike_helland/pzl8000-series.html )
Also, due to the inherent formal composition of most italian dome art, I found it interesting to compare Tomaselli with this example by Iacopo da Torrita in the San Giovanni Battista.
